Margo Linden Katz Biography:

Margo Linden Katz, CPA, has been working in accounting since 1982. A former chemist and seamstress, Katz CPA [Cleaning, Pressing, and Alterations], liked the initials so much that when she changed her career the only thing she could do was to become an accountant, she went from working with gold lame to financial fabric.

One of three partners in the firm L. A. Tax Service, LLP she has been at her current location, 8350 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles (part of the West Hollywood area) for the past 19 years. www.lataxservice.com

She has many clients in the entertainment and arts industries that use Macs, and is sought out for her knowledge of Quickbooks for Mac. She supports both Mac and Windows platforms for review and correction of QuickBooks files, conversions between platforms, as well as providing tax preparation and Business Management services. She maintains versions of Quickbooks from 2001 up. She likes working remotely and will walk you through whatever corrections are needed to teach you how rather than “fixing it” and leaving you no better off.

Margo holds a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Biology from California State University at Northridge. She loves puzzles, animals, and any combination of the two, including accounting. She is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor and member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
