Q - I would like to print the chart of accounts like it appears when you view the list with the sub-accounts indented. When I use Reports > Lists > Account Listing the sub-accounts are shown as main account:sub- account. What am I doing wrong?
A - Most all of the reports print in the main account:sub-account format like you are describing. For example, that is the only choice on list reports and a trial balance. When the list is printed when the chart of accounts is open (i.e. Lists > Chart of Accounts > File > Print List) there are to columns, one is for the account which prints exactly as it appears on the chart of accounts list view, and the other column is the account type. There is no way to change that, but it sounds like it will provide the information you are looking for.
